Assembly Steps

The DINplate is a simple kit that contains the following components:

  1. The lower  plate
  2. The upper 4.5mm plate
  3. Four M2.6 6mm steel screws
  4. Four M3 x 25mm nylon standoffs
  5. Eight M3 x 8mm nylon screws

The simple assembly steps shown below will require a #1 Phillips screwdriver. One note of caution: to avoid damaging the heads, do not over torque the nylon screws.

Identify and note the mounting hole locations on the lower plate.

Mount your Raspberry Pi to the lower plate using the four mounting holes circled in red. Use the black 6mm screws and the included screwdriver to attach the RPi. Don't over torque.

When completed, the RPi should be firmly attached to the lower plate.

Next, attach the four 25mm nylon standoffs to the lower plate with four of the 8mm nylon screws

This what you should have so far

Position and align your Pi-Plate over the 40-pin header then press down until it comes to a stop on top of the 25mm standoffs. Screw the four 15mm threaded spacers that came with your Pi-Plate into the 25mm standoffs to hold it into place. These only have to be hand tightened.

Getting there! If necessary, repeat the previous step for each additional Pi-Plate you want to add to the stack.

Examine the upper plate and position it on top of the assembly with the DIN mounting clips aligned with the lower plate. Use the remaining four M3 X 8mm nylon screws to hold the upper plate of the DINplate assembly.

Voilà! (that's French for "Hey, look what I made!")
